I have the vista mce remote and have it working with mplayer and rhythmbox but thee's one thing I would love to be able to do with it that I can do in windows. I would love to start the player with a button on the remote. I can start media center in vista with the home button in windows so I thought if maybe I set the config for it in lircrc to /usr/bin/rhythmbox it would work but I got nothing. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this issue. I can't stand having to walk all the way back to the computer just to change the media player.
P.S. For some reason when I hit the power button, which I have set to esc, it doesn't do anything. I also can't use the remote after that until I restart rhythmbox or mplayer. Not as important but still annoying.
